10 Tips to Consider When Purchasing Walking Shoes

Zumba Safely

It seems everywhere you look there is a Zumba class offered. Zumba is a form of exercise based on Latin dance moves and has appealed to all ages, genders and fitness levels. It is promoted as fun, “a party” (and most participants agree) – though it’s definitely a workout and you will sweat. However, as with any exercise, participants should be careful to avoid possible injuries and to consult a doctor before beginning any new form of exercise. The New York Times recently published an article about the potential for injury during Zumba exercise and included some good tips to avoid injury. A link to the article can be found on Crescent City Physical Therapy’s links and articles page.
